Stephen Rigdon papers, 1852-1926.

Papers of the receiver and inspector of the Oregon Central Military Road. The collection includes: Rigdon's record of furniture sold for Joseph Cleaver and Horatio Cook (1853-1854); diary of a trip to the Colville mines and return (1855); notebooks containing Rigdon's count of travelers on the Oregon Central Military Road (1871, 1873-1885; 1891-1896); and genealogical materials relating to the Bristow and Rigdon families. Also included is correspondence, 1852-1857, to Zilpha E. (Bristow) Rigdon, wife of Stephen Rigdon (16 letters); and a scrapbook relating to the Bristow family and early Oregon pioneers (in separate volume).
